Why Bethenny Frankel’s elite anti-dating app costs $1,200

Real Housewives star Bethenny Frankel has launched a very exclusive anti-dating app. What makes it stand out?

The Core is the latest celebrity-made tech product to hit the market this year.

It’s a new and very exclusive dating app which bans ghosting, breadcrumbing, catfishing, and “shadiness” in the pursuit of cultivating meaningful relationships.

The Core describes itself as “a community of intention and alignment for those looking for a life partner or to enhance their relationship.”

Frankel’s new endeavor functions more like a members-only club or a social co-op, where daters receive personalized connections tailored specifically to each user.

Users who are interested in The Core must apply and be accepted after being vetted by a small team, Bloomberg reports.

However, Cybernews couldn’t independently verify the application process, as The Core’s platform only allows for registration.

If a person is accepted, they must be an active member to remain in “The Core” group of elite singles.

Frankel states that The Core isn’t a dating app and it's not a matchmaking service. Instead, it's a space where people who are “craving human connection” can meet in an “increasingly tech-driven world.”

The community will be comprised of “high integrity adults, singles, and those in relationships” who want more from their connections, as per The Core about me page.

To ensure the most elite members remain in The Core, the exclusive anti-dating app reserves the right to revoke membership at any time, which is particularly noteworthy, considering the high cost.

The platform, which launched on Wednesday (3rd of December), has fees exceeding $1000 in some cases, Bloomberg reports.

With multiple memberships that are charged annually, Frankel has seemingly created a platform for the rich and powerful American elite.

The “connection membership” alone requires a starting fee of $1,200 for those who are willing to pay for a life partner.

Prospective members will have to submit basic identifying information and a short statement regarding their intent to join the community.

Frankel told Bloomberg that certain applicants, including billionaires, have been rejected by her team due to reputational issues or concerns around dating behaviour.

The Core seems to be rivalling the member and invitation-only dating app Raya, which is used mainly by celebrities.

Yet Raya seems to be considerably cheaper than The Core, as premium plans only cost upwards of $350 per year.
