ChatGPT, dude: viral chatbot makes it to 'South Park'

The long-running popular animated series is diving head first into the AI debate as ChatGPT makes its way to the fictional Colorado town.

The show's creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, are known for their biting satirical take on current events, and it was only a matter of time until ChatGPT received the South Park treatment.

In a new teaser from an upcoming episode entitled "Deep Learning," one of the characters, Stan, seeks dating advice from his buddy Clyde.

"Like, how are you so good at knowing what to text Bebe?" Stan inquires, referring to Clyde's girlfriend.

To which Clyde replies: "ChatGPT, dude."

Little more is revealed other than another snippet of information posted on South Park's Facebook page, which said Stan "is reeling when a cheating scandal hits the school in an all-new episode."

"Deep Learning" is the fourth episode of the 26th season of the show and is scheduled to premiere on March 8.

Although fans are intrigued by the inclusion of ChatGPT in the storyline, what many really want to know is: are Stan and Wendy back together?
