Jaguar’s polarizing new electric car design was unveiled at Miami Art Week, and commenters had a lot to say.
In what Jaguar’s Chief Creative Officer Professor Gerry McGovern calls its reimagining, the luxury car company has revealed its pair of electric vehicles. The vehicles, known as the Jaguar Type 00, come in two distinct colors.
The Satin Rhodon Rose, fondly referred to as ‘Miami Pink,’ is an homage to the “city’s iconic architecture,” and Inception Silver Blue, dubbed ‘London Blue’ in honor of “British creativity,” Jaguar said in a post on X.

According to Jaguar, the new-generation Jaguar will be a four-door GT, revealed in late 2025. It will be able to drive up to 770km (478 miles) on a single charge.
These new vehicles coincide with Jaguar’s rebranding, which sparked online controversy after its iconic logo was redesigned.
The new cars didn’t escape criticism from the comment section as users expressed their opinions surrounding Jaguar’s new image.
One user on X wrote, “Looks fine. Half the people moaning here probably had no issue with the Cybertruck and probably wouldn't have had an issue with this design either if it were white/black and hadn't come with an ad campaign deemed "woke."
While other users claim that this transition will “ruin Jaguar’s legacy.”
“You bring shame to Jaguar’s heritage. Fire the entire marketing, design, and executive teams,” one user complained.
Jaguar’s new identity and rebrand were showcased at Miami Art Week on December 2nd, 2024. McGovern addressed the controversy surrounding the rebrand, saying that no British icon was ever free from criticism.
However, some changes adopted by Jaguar aren’t too controversial, as the luxury car maker said earlier this year that it would become an electric-only car brand.
Jaguar has stopped selling new cars in the UK to transition to a fully electric company by 2026.
These futuristic EVs may give Elon Musk’s Cybertruck a run for its money. However, there’s one thing that Musk has over Jaguar – Cybertrucks are actually in production.
The Jaguar Type 00 is part of the car giant’s future vision, meaning that they’re currently non-production vehicles and aren’t for sale.
However, this isn’t the only concept vehicle that has left netizens bewildered. The internet blew up after talk of Kayne West’s EV went viral.
Many people were convinced that the rapper had ventured into the automotive industry, but the “car” was actually a conceptual vehicle designed by United Nude, a footwear brand.
The car, known as the Lo-Res Car, was developed by the creative director and founder of the company, Rem D. Koolhaas, and was sold for over $100,000 at the Bring a Trailer auction in 2021.
The vehicle was supposedly inspired by the Lamborghini Countach, and only four models were made, all for promotional purposes and not for mass production.
