Kesha becomes a tech entrepreneur with new AI LinkedIn for musicians

Kesha, famous for her track “TikTok,” has entered the tech world after announcing that her new platform will help musicians take control of their futures.

Pop princess Kesha has announced the Smash platform, which has been described as a LinkedIn platform for musicians.

In the post, Kesha states that “It’s time for a revolution,” and she’s excited to announce Smash, as “the time is overdue” and “The system is broken.”

The platform is a community-based platform where music creators can connect and, perhaps most importantly, be protected from seedy people in the music biz.

“We want our community healthy and feeling valued,” Kesha says.

When heading to the website, Smash confirms that it's a community platform from the music artist Kesha where other creators can “connect and create music on their own terms.”

“Together, we will shift the power structure of the music-making business in favor of the creators.”

Over 50,000 creatives were waitlisted for the platform in just 72 hours, according to Tech News Funding, apparently attracting the attention of Gen Z and Millennial artists.

The platform appointed Alan Cannistraro as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), who has a background in engineering and has worked for massive tech companies like Apple.

Tech News Funding said Smash employs artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms that match creators based on their genre preferences and project requirements.

The AI algorithm also analyzes fifteen key metrics, which help creators connect with other people and potential producers in the industry.

Smash is also implementing smart contracts that automatically help when it comes to splitting royalty payments when multiple creators collaborate, Tech News Funding said.

NFTs and unique digital collectibles are also on the table, where such features would be used for limited releases.

Kesha’s motivation for starting Smash is her alleged maltreatment during her time as a musician.

One notable event included the years-long legal battle with a producer known in the industry as Dr. Luke (Lukasz Sebastian Gottwald).

Kesha claimed that her former mentor sexually, physically, and emotionally abused her at the start of their professional relationship.
