Another “what to expect at Apple WWDC’25”.
With Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) fast approaching, more insights are being revealed about what to expect during the event.
It’s been reported that Apple’s future interface redesign will be called “Liquid Glass” and will have “the sheen and see-through visuals of a glassy surface,” shared Mark Gurman via Bloomberg.
The new interface aims to make Apple’s whole OS more coherent, introducing “transparency and shine effects” in all of its toolbars, in-app interfaces, and controls.
This change would be implemented across iOS 26, macOS, watchOS, iPadOS, and tvOS.
Liquid Glass will be available on all new hardware products, including the future iPhone, which will be released in 2027. The same year that the iconic smartphone celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Gurman notes that these new UI changes are expected to be the most significant part of the Apple conference. By presenting Liquid Glass, the company hopes to shift the focus from its artificial intelligence, which falls behind compared to other AIs.
Apple WWDC’25 will take place on June 9th, 1 p.m. ET/ 10 a.m. PT.
