I worked with the Cybernews research team to test several top eSIM providers and rank the best options for Saudi Arabia in 2025. We compared the coverage of different eSIMs and assessed their data allowances, pricing, and unique features to identify our top picks.
1. Saily – the overall best eSIM for Saudi Arabia

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $4.49 (1GB for 7 days) |
Countries and regions: | 200+ countries |
Saily is a top choice for travelers seeking affordable plans and reliable mobile connectivity. This eSIM has excellent coverage in Saudi Arabia and boasts high-speed internet.
Plans for Saudi Arabia. Saily has local, regional, and global plans that will appeal to travelers visiting Saudi Arabia. Its local plans come with 1GB to 20GB of data and are valid for 7 to 30 days. Unfortunately, Saily offers no plans with more than 20GB of data — even its regional and global plans.
On the plus side, its regional plans for the Middle East and North Africa cover up to 19 countries in the region — the most of any eSIM on this list — and its global plans are valid for up to a year.
Saily has data-only eSIM plans, so you can’t use it to make phone calls. This eSIM provider doesn’t disclose which network operators it works with in Saudi Arabia. However, it boasts reliable internet access in the country. Saily also notes that network quality depends on local carriers. Depending on your location and other factors, you can expect 3G, 4G, LTE, or 5G speeds from this eSIM.
Pricing. Saily’s prices are usually lower than the average prices of other eSIM providers. Its plans for Saudi Arabia start from $4.49 for 1GB of data, valid for 7 days. Here’s a table showing all Saily’s local plans for Saudi Arabia:
Data plan | Price |
1GB for 7 days | $4.49 |
3GB for 30 days | $8.99 |
5GB for 30 days | $13.99 |
10GB for 30 days | $23.99 |
20GB for 30 days | $38.99 |
Activating and using Saily eSIM. Thanks to the Saily app, it’s easy to activate and use this eSIM. You can find the app on Google Play and Apple App Store. It takes only one click to activate the eSIM via the app. You can also monitor your data usage and top-up via the app.
Customer support. Saily provides customer support 24/7 via live chat. Its live chat service is run by humans, ensuring relevant and useful responses. You can also contact its support team via email. I found that it can take up to 24 hours to get a response when you email Saily.
Best for: Budget-conscious travelers and short-term visitors seeking reliable connectivity in Saudi Arabia. You can learn more about this eSIM in our full Saily review.
2. Airalo – top-rated Saudi Arabia eSIM with flexible plans

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $5.00 (1GB for 7 days) |
Countries and regions: | 200+ |
Airalo is one of the most popular eSIMs available today and has extensive coverage worldwide. Various Airalo plans are available for travelers to Saudi Arabia, including options for people who want a phone number for calls and SMS.
Plans for Saudi Arabia. Airalo has local, regional, and global plans for Saudi Arabia. It has 7 local eSIM plans for Saudi Arabia, offering 1GB to 25GB of data and valid for 7 to 45 days. It even has an unlimited data plan that’s valid for 10 days. It also has regional plans for the Middle East and Africa, which covers 13 countries in the region, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, and Bahrain.
One of the things that makes Airalo stand out is that it offers data-only global plans as well as global plans with a phone number for calls and SMS. Airalo’s global plans are valid for up to a year and come with up to 20GB of data. This eSIM provider works with Zain and supports 5G speeds in Saudi Arabia.
Pricing. Airalo’s prices in Saudi Arabia are average compared to those of other eSIM providers. A 7-day, 1GB plan costs $5.00. Here’s an overview of Airalo’s local plans for Saudi Arabia:
Data plan | Price |
1GB for 7 days | $5.00 |
2GB for 15 days | $8.50 |
3GB for 30 days | $11.00 |
5GB for 30 days | $16.00 |
10GB for 30 days | $27.00 |
20GB for 30 days | $44.00 |
25GB for 45 days | $49.00 |
Unlimited data for 10 days | $35.00 |
Activating and using Airalo eSIM. Airalo has a sleek, well-designed app that you can find on Google Play and the Apple App Store. There are 3 ways to install this eSIM: via the app, scanning a QR code, or manually entering the eSIM details. I recommend installing the eSIM via the app, as the process is automated. Once you arrive in Saudi Arabia, all you need to do is activate the eSIM, and it will connect to a supported local network.
Customer support. You can contact Airalo’s customer support team via live chat or email. I got a quick and detailed response when I reached out to Airalo’s support team via email.

3. Jetpac – reliable eSIM for short trips to Saudi Arabia

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $1.00 (1GB for 4 days) |
Countries and regions: | 200+ |
Jetpac is a reliable eSIM service offering high-speed internet. While it doesn’t have a wide variety of local plans for Saudi Arabia, it’s an excellent choice for short visits to the Arab country. Jetpac allows you to buy multiple eSIMs at once, which can be handy if you’re traveling with a group. It also offers access to lounges in over 1300 airports in the event of a flight delay.
Plans for Saudi Arabia. Jetpac has local, regional, and global plans for Saudi Arabia. However, unlike Saily and Airalo, it has only 4 local plans for Saudi Arabia, offering 1GB to 10GB and valid for 4 to 30 days. This eSIM provider has a one-time $1.00 introductory offer for new users, which gives you 1GB for 4 days.
In addition to its local plans, Jetpac also has regional plans for the Middle East and North Africa, which covers 8 countries in the region. Its regional plans offer up to 40GB of data but are valid for 30 days max. If you want plans that last longer, I recommend checking out its global plans, which are valid for up to a year and come with up to 100GB of data.
Jetpac works with Zain in Saudi Arabia. It supports 4G and 5G speeds in the country. This is a data-only eSIM, so you don’t get a phone number for phone calls and SMS.
Pricing. Although it has a bargain $1.00 offer for new users, Jetpac’s prices are slightly higher than those of Saily and Airalo. Here’s a rundown of the prices of Jetpac’s plans for Saudi Arabia:
Data plan | Price |
1GB for 4 days | $1.00 |
3GB for 30 days | $11.00 |
5GB for 30 days | $17.00 |
10GB for 30 days | $31.00 |
Activating and using Jetpac eSIM. While Jetpac has an app like Saily and Airalo, you can’t install the eSIM via the app. Instead, you need to scan a QR code that Jetpac emails you to install the eSIM on your device. You can manage the eSIM via the app; there are options to buy plans, top-up your data, and monitor your data consumption.
Customer support. Jetpac has a highly responsive customer support team. You can contact Jetpac with questions or complaints via live chat, WhatsApp, or email. For the fastest response, I recommend WhatsApp or live chat.
Best for: Travelers on a short trip to Saudi Arabia or those who want high-speed internet at all times. Read our full Jetpac review for more information about this eSIM.

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $5.00 (1GB for 7 days) |
Countries and regions: | 200+ |
aloSIM is one of the standout eSIM providers on this list. While it does not offer regional or global plans for Saudi Arabia, aloSIM includes a phone number with each eSIM, and customers receive $1 free credit for calls and SMS.
Plans for Saudi Arabia. aloSIM’s plans for Saudi Arabia are somewhat similar to Airalo’s. You get to choose from 7 plans offering 1GB to 25GB of data and valid for 1 to 30 days. It also has an unlimited data plan, which is valid for 10 days. aloSIM doesn’t have regional plans for the Middle East, and it doesn’t have any global plans.
This eSIM provider works with Zain and supports LTE and 5G speeds in the country. While aloSIM supports phone calls and SMS, you need to download a separate app called Hushed to be able to make phone calls and send SMS messages. All users get $1 free credit on Hushed, and you can top up by loading more money to your Hushed account.
Pricing. aloSIM’s prices are on par with Airalo’s. Here’s a peek at the prices of its plans for Saudi Arabia:
Data plan | Price |
1GB for 7 days | $5.00 |

5. Nomad – fast eSIM with high data allowance

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $7.50 (1GB for 7 days) |
Countries and regions: | 200+ |
Nomad is a trusted name in the eSIM industry. This eSIM is an excellent choice for travelers to Saudi Arabia who want high-speed internet and a high data allowance. Nomad offers a free eSIM with 500MB for travelers visiting selected locations — unfortunately, Saudi Arabia is not currently on this list.
Plans for Saudi Arabia: Nomad has local and global plans for Saudi Arabia. However, I was surprised to find that its regional plans don’t include the country, although they cover the UAE, Jordan, Oman, and Turkey.
Nomad’s local eSIM plans for Saudi Arabia come with 1GB to 50GB and are valid for 1 to 30 days. Its global plans that cover Saudi Arabia offer a maximum of 5GB of data, although it’s valid for up to 30 days.
Nomad works with Zain and supports 5G speeds in Saudi Arabia. This eSIM offers reliable connectivity in popular destinations like Jeddah, Mecca, and Riyadh. However, the quality of its coverage may vary in remote areas.
Pricing. Nomad’s prices are more expensive than the average provider’s. Its plans for Saudi Arabia start from $7.50 for 1GB of data, valid for 7 days. Here’s an overview of its local plans for Saudi Arabia and their prices.
Data plan | Price |
1GB for 7 days | $7.50 |
3GB for 30 days | $10.00 |
5GB for 30 days | $13.00 |
10GB for 30 days | $20.00 |
20GB for 30 days | $33.00 |
50GB for 30 days | $66.00 |
Activating and using Nomad eSIM. Nomad has a lovely app that makes it easy to figure out how the eSIM works and use it. Like Holafly and GigSky, this eSIM provider also uses QR-based activation. There are clear instructions to guide you through the installation and activation process. I found no issues setting up this eSIM, and I really like the design of its app.
Customer support. Nomad provides customer support 24/7 via live chat. You can also reach its team via email. I received a response to my email a few hours after contacting them.
Best for: Frequent international travelers with significant data needs who need reliable connectivity in Saudi Arabia. For more info, read our full Nomad review.
6. GigSky – versatile eSIM with fixed and pay-as-you-go plans

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $4.99 (1GB for 7 days) |
Countries and regions: | 200+ |
GigSky is one of the most versatile eSIMs available today, offering plans for travelers on land, air, and sea. It doesn’t just have fixed plans but also offers unlimited data plans. To cap it all, GigSky gives new users 100MB for free, and you don’t have to provide your credit card details to avail of this offer.
Plans for Saudi Arabia. GigSky has local, regional, and global plans for Saudi Arabia. Its local plans come with 1GB to 10GB of data and are valid for 7 to 30 days. It also has unlimited data plans for Saudi Arabia, which are valid for 7 to 15 days.
In addition to these local plans, GigSky has regional plans for the Middle East, a global plan, and plans for cruises. Except its global cruise plans, which are valid for up to 120 days and come with 20GB of data, all its plans are valid for 30 days max and don’t come with more than 10GB of data. This is a bummer since some of GigSkyl’s other regional plans come with up to 90GB of data and are valid for up to 90 days.
GigSky supports 5G internet in Saudi Arabia. However, depending on your location and other factors, you may get 4G or 3G speeds. While this eSIM provider doesn’t have any data sharing limitations, like Holafly, the speeds of its unlimited data plans will slow down after you consume 2.5GB of data in a day.
Pricing. GigSky’s prices for Saudi Arabia are quite competitive, starting from $4.99 for 1GB of data, valid for 30 days. Here’s a rundown of the prices of its local plans for Saudi Arabia.
Data plan | Price |
100MB for 7 days | Free |
1GB for 7 days | $4.99 |
5GB for 30 days | $19.99 |
10GB for 30 days | $36.99 |
Unlimited data for 7 days | $32.99 |
Unlimited data for 15 days | $35.99 |
Activating and using GigSky eSIM. Installing and using a GigSky eSIM is a smooth and hassle-free process. You can install the app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Once you purchase a data plan, scan the QR code that GigSky shares with you and follow the instructions to finish setting it up. The eSIM will automatically connect to a supported local network once you arrive in Saudi Arabia.
Customer support. GigSky’s customer support team is reachable by live chat, phone, or email. I recommend placing a call to the team or reaching out via live chat if you need an immediate response to your query.
Best for: Travelers who want the freedom to be able to choose either fixed or unlimited data plans. It’s also an excellent option if you want internet access on a flight or a cruise.
7. Holafly – best eSIM for unlimited data in Saudi Arabia

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $6.90 (unlimited data for 1 day) |
Countries and regions: | 200+ |
Holafly is the best eSIM to choose if you don’t want to worry about the data limitations of a fixed plan. This eSIM offers unlimited data plans, and you can choose the exact duration of your trip when purchasing a plan. It also allows you to buy multiple eSIMs at once, so you can conveniently get different eSIMs if you’re traveling with a group.
Plans for Saudi Arabia. Holafly allows you to customize your data plan based on the duration of your trip (1 to 90 days) and the number of eSIMs you want. Holafly offers unlimited data on its local, regional, and global plans for Saudi Arabia. While it has no speed or data limitations, Holafly notes that local carriers reserve the right to curb speeds based on their fair usage policies.
Holafly’s regional plans for the Middle East cover 14 countries. While this eSIM offers unlimited data, it limits data sharing to 500MB daily. Holafly works with Etihad, Saudi Telecom, and Zain to ensure coverage across Saudi Arabia. This eSIM supports 3G, 4G, LTE, and 5G speeds in the country. The exact speed of your connection depends on your location, the carrier you’re connected to, and other factors.
Holafly offers data-only plans, so you can only make calls and send texts using VoIP apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, and Skype.
Pricing. Holafly’s prices are quite affordable, considering that you’re getting unlimited data. Its plans for Saudi Arabia start from $7.90 for 1 day. Here’s an overview of Holafly’s prices for 1 to 6 days of unlimited data in Saudi Arabia:
Data plan | Price |
Unlimited data for 1 day | $7.90 |
Unlimited data for 2 days | $9.90 |
Unlimited data for 3 days | $12.90 |
Unlimited data for 4 days | $16.90 |
Unlimited data for 5 days | $20.90 |
Unlimited data for 6 days | $24.90 |
Activating and using Holafly eSIM. Like other eSIMs on this list, setting up and using Holafly is uncomplicated. The app is lovely and has a well-designed interface. To install this eSIM, scan the QR code that Holafly emails you after you purchase a plan. You can manage the eSIM directly on the app.
Customer support. Like Jetpac, Holafly offers customer support via 24/7 live chat, WhatsApp, and email. The company’s customer service team is highly rated for its responsiveness.

8. Roamless – best eSIM for pay-as-you-go plans in Saudi Arabia

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $2.45 (1GB, doesn’t expire) |
Countries and regions: | 195+ |
Roamless is unlike any other eSIM on this list; it’s in a league of its own. This eSIM provider offers pay-as-you-go plans that don’t expire. Moreover, its plans are not limited to particular countries or regions — they work automatically everywhere Roamless has coverage. It also supports in-app phone calls, ensuring you don’t have to rely on VoIP apps.
Plans for Saudi Arabia. Roamless is one of my favorite eSIMs for its flexibility. It offers pay-as-you-go plans, and you can use it in different countries without having to reactivate it. I particularly love that its plans don’t expire, ensuring you only pay for what you use and don’t lose any money.
Roamless gives new users 500MB for free, which is a generous offer. Unlike some providers on this list, Roamless has no data sharing or speed limitations. This eSIM provider works with Mobily in Saudi Arabia and supports 5G speeds in the country.
Pricing. Roamless’ prices vary by location. Here’s a quick look at its prices.
Data plan | Price |
500MB, doesn’t expire | Free |
1GB, doesn’t expire | $18.45 |
2GB, doesn’t expire | $36.90 |
3GB, doesn’t expire | $55.35 |
While its prices are higher than those of the average eSIM provider, the fact that Roamless offers pay-as-you-go plans that don’t expire somewhat makes up for this. In addition to its data services, Roamless supports in-app calls, starting from $0.01 per minute.
Activating and using Roamless eSIM. Installing and using a Roamless eSIM is easy. You’ll find this eSIM app on Google Play and Apple’s App Store. You have to scan a QR code to install this eSIM. Then, set it as your main source of cellular data and turn on data roaming to activate it. It was generally easy to figure out how this eSIM works.
Customer support. You can contact the Roamless customer support team via phone or email. I suggest contacting them by phone if you want a quick response, as it may take a few hours to get a response to your emails.
Best for: Travelers, content creators, business executives, or anyone else who travels frequently and needs reliable, hassle-free internet connectivity.
9. Instabridge – affordable data-only eSIM with fixed and pay-as-you-go plans

Supports 5G networks: | Yes |
Starting price: | $2.00 (1GB for 30 days) |
Countries and regions: | 190+ |
Instabridge is one of the most affordable eSIM providers for Saudi Arabia. It offers both fixed and pay-as-you-go plans, ensuring you can choose an option that’s well-suited to your needs. In addition to its data plans, Instabridge also has some useful (and free) apps for travelers, including a Wi-Fi map that shows you Wi-Fi hotspots in different parts of the world.
Plans for Saudi Arabia. Travelers to Saudi Arabia can choose from Instabridge’s local and global plans. This eSIM doesn’t offer any regional plans for the Middle East at this time. Interestingly, its local and global plans have the same allocated data and validity period. They come with 1GB to 20GB of data and are valid for 7 to 30 days.
Instabridge also offers pay-as-you-go plans for Saudi Arabia. This eSIM doesn’t support calls and SMS on any of its plans.
Instabridge works with Etisalat in Saudi Arabia. It supports 5G, 4G, LTE, and 3G speeds in different countries, depending on the local network provider.
Pricing. Of all the eSIMs on this list, Instabridge has the cheapest prices for Saudi Arabia. Here’s an outline of the starting prices of Instabridge’s local eSIM plans for Saudi Arabia:
Data plan | Price |
1GB for 7 days | $4.00 |
3GB for 15 days | $9.00 |
10GB for 30 days | $22.00 |
20GB for 7 days | $35.00 |
1GB of data (pay-as-you-go) | $4.00 |
Activating and using Instabridge eSIM. Instabridge’s app has a similar dark theme like its website, which is easy on the eyes. The interface of the app is minimalist, and you can see everything at a glance, so it’s easy to use. This eSIM uses QR-based installation, like Holafly, Roamless, and others I’ve mentioned above. The installation usually takes only a few minutes and is very straightforward.
Customer support. Instabridge doesn’t have a live chat or phone number for customer support. Instead, you can only contact its customer support team by filling out a form on its website and awaiting their response. It took several hours to get a response when I reached out to them.
Best for: Travelers who want affordable eSIM plans for Saudi Arabia or pay-as-you-go plans.
10. BNESIM – budget-friendly eSIM for Saudi Arabia with various services for travelers

Countries and regions: | 200+ |
BNESIM is a highly versatile eSIM that offers a lot of features. It has fixed and pay-as-you-go plans. And, if you’re choosing a fixed plan, you can opt for a one-time purchase or a recurring purchase, which is quite convenient. What to consider before buying an eSIM for Saudi Arabia?
When you're thinking about getting an eSIM for Saudi Arabia, keep these important points in mind to make sure you pick the perfect one for you:
- Compatibility: Make sure your device can use eSIM technology and the provider's service. While most new smartphones are eSIM-capable, it's wise to confirm just to be sure.
- Data allowance: Assess your data needs based on your usage habits. Consider how much you'll use for navigation, streaming, social media, and work-related tasks. Choose a plan that offers sufficient data to avoid overage charges or running out mid-trip.
- Duration: Match the eSIM plan duration with your travel plans. Some providers offer short-term plans ideal for brief visits, while others have longer-term options for extended stays.
- Coverage: Check the provider's network coverage in the areas you plan to visit. While major cities usually have excellent coverage, rural areas may have limited service.
- Speed: If you need fast internet for video calls or large file transfers, prioritize providers offering 4G and 5G access.
- Additional services: Some eSIMs offer only data, while others include call and text capabilities. Determine if you need these additional services.
- Activation process: Look for providers with simple activation methods, preferably via QR codes or user-friendly apps.
- Customer support: Choose a provider with reliable customer service, especially if it's your first time using an eSIM.
- Local regulations: Be aware that Saudi Arabia requires SIM registration with personal information. Ensure you're comfortable with this requirement and have the necessary documentation.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Not all phones support eSIMs. I recommend checking if your phone is eSIM compatible before purchasing an eSIM plan. Here’s a quick guide explaining how to check if your phone works with eSIMs:
eSIM compatibility on iPhones
Newer Apple iPhones support eSIMs, but older models may not work with this technology.
- iPhone XR and later. The iPhone XR, XS Max, or any model from the 11 series onwards (including the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 series) support eSIMs. The iPhones sold in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao (with a few exceptions) aren’t compatible with eSIMs.
eSIM compatibility on Android devices
The easiest way to check if your Android device supports eSIMs is by looking for the "Status" or "IMEI information" options in the "About Phone" or "Settings" menu. Generally, smartphones released after 2018 have higher chances of being compatible with eSIMs.
Benefits of using eSIM Saudi Arabia
There are many benefits to using an eSIM during your trip to Saudi Arabia. Here are a few potential benefits that you should know about:
- Flexibility: Most eSIM providers let you switch between network providers for better coverage. This can be useful in countries where network signals may fluctuate, especially in rural areas. An eSIM allows you to easily change network providers without physically swapping out your SIM card.
- Convenience: If you buy an eSIM plan and set it up before your trip to Saudi Arabia, you can get internet access the moment you land in the country. This means you don’t have to find a local store and navigate potential language barriers to get an eSIM.
- Keep your regular phone number: You don’t have to remove your regular SIM card to use an eSIM during your trip. You can use the eSIM for data and continue to access platforms and online services linked to your phone number.
- Security: eSIMs are generally more secure than physical SIM cards because they can’t be misplaced or stolen, reducing the chances of identity theft or SIM swap attacks. Even if you lose your phone, you can log in to your eSIM account via the provider’s website and block the eSIM.
- Environmentally friendly: Compared to physical SIM cards, which are made of plastic and contribute to waste, eSIMs are more environmentally friendly since they’re completely virtual.
- Instant activation: You can activate your eSIM immediately after you arrive in Saudi Arabia, allowing you to access hotel booking details and other information or services online.
eSIM vs. Roaming pricing
An eSIM typically offers significant savings compared to international roaming. For example:
- eSIM: 5GB data for 30 days costs $15-$25
- Roaming: 5GB data for 30 days often costs $50-$100+ (depending on the network carrier)
Using eSIMs lets you access cost-effective data plans tailored to your destination. Roaming can often incur high charges on a per-MB or per-GB basis unless you purchase an expensive international package. With eSIMs, you can enjoy local rates and better control over your mobile data expenses in Saudi Arabia.
Can I call from Saudi Arabia with an eSIM?
Calling capabilities depend on your eSIM plan. Most offer data-only services, but some include voice and SMS. You can make calls using data-only plans and Internet-based calling apps like WhatsApp or Skype. For traditional calling, choose an eSIM plan with voice services or use a separate local SIM.

Tips for using an eSIM in Saudi Arabia
Here are a few things to keep in mind when buying and using an eSIM in Saudi Arabia:
- Ensure your phone is unlocked: If your phone is locked to a specific carrier, you can’t use an eSIM. So, before purchasing an eSIM plan, I recommend checking that your phone is unlocked. If you discover that your device is carrier-locked, you can contact your network provider to enquire about the possibility of unlocking it.
- Ensure the eSIM provider has clear installation and activation instructions: While the process of installing an eSIM is generally easy, it’s essential to check that the eSIM provider has clear instructions to guide you. Without any instructions explaining how to install and activate your eSIM, the process can be unnecessarily difficult.
