AliExpress hackers order Russian fighter $25k worth of adult toys

Pro-Ukrainian hacktivists have penetrated the AliExpress shopping account of a Russian “war influencer,” ordering him $25,000 worth of adult toys using money he would otherwise have spent on buying drones for the Kremlin military.

Mikhail Luchin, a Russian “war influencer” – so called because he documents his fighting in the occupied regions of Ukraine on social media – was forced to have an interesting conversation with AliExpress‘ customer support.

Ukrainian hacktivist group Kiber Sprotyv (Cyber Resistance) snuck into the personal account of Luchin and used his credit card to purchase $25,000 worth of strap-ons, vibrators, and other adult toys.

According to Kiber Sprotyv, Luchin had launched a crowd-funding campaign earlier, aiming to use the money to buy legally available drones for the Russian military to use against the defending Ukrainian forces.

“But instead of drones, Misha will now send truckloads of vibrators, strap-ons, and other things useful to every Russian occupier, which we ordered and paid from his card on AliExpress,” hacktivists said on Telegram.

Luchin earns a living from the purchase and reselling of drones, the Ukrainian activists claim. The Russian national is also accused of operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) on the battlefield.

Luchin’s Telegram account, called “Misha in Donbas”, displays photos of him and pro-Russian military blogger Vladlen Tatarsky (aka Maxim Fomin). Tatarsky, a right-wing extremist, was killed in an explosion in St Petersburg on April 2.

According to the victimized Russian fighter, he reached out to an AliExpress seller, who supposedly agreed to return almost all the funds except around $300 already spent on Luchin-bound adult toys.

Hacktivists on both sides have been taunting each other since Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Recently, Ukraine hacktivists tricked wives into exposing Russian airmen suspected of war crimes.
