Monsters behind online child abuse cult arrested

Two members of the online child abuse cult that forced children to eat their own hair have been arrested. The investigation revealed a much larger abuse network with sinister motives.

When these US citizens looked for targets, they usually preyed on impressionable, young, and predominantly traumatized children.

Their victims may have experienced mental health issues or had been victims of child sexual abuse. Nevertheless, they would be subjected to more trauma from members of the online cult “CVLT.”

Firstly, the children would be groomed into producing child sexual abuse material while also being subjected to violent and extreme content.

Members of the group would then blackmail the children into more extreme activities by threatening to send the compromising images to their friends and family.

Through this, the perpetrators forced their victims into other degrading acts, which later escalated.

The children were told to cut and eat their own hair, drink their urine, mutilate their bodies, and brand the word “CVLT” into their skin.

At the peak of this abuse, CVLT’s victims were pressured into killing themselves via live stream. Whether this actually happened is unknown.

The online child abuse group lurks on social media platforms, online gaming spaces, and mobile apps – all spaces that children frequent. CVLT’s main principles include neo-Nazism, pedophilia, and nihilism, Europol reports.

Perpetrators arrested

While two potential perpetrators involved in CVLT have already been arrested for previous child sexual abuse crimes, two men thought to be integral members of the child abuse group have been arrested.

The perpetrators, aged 23 and 42, were investigated by US Homeland Security supported by Europol and involving the French National Police (Police Nationale), the United Kingdom’s National Crime Agency, and the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs.

This makes four offenders linked to CVLT, and out of these four members, three are “considered to have acted as leaders and administrators of the violent online abuse community,” Europol said.

“The Com”

These arrests have revealed a dark and sinister network of child abuse communities known as “The Com,” short for The Community.

These communities contain subgroups that prey on vulnerable children who are groomed and coerced into committing crimes.

“The Com” grooms its victims using various methods. This could be by establishing friendships or romantic relationships based on trust or the misuse of power with the goal of dominating their victims – forcing them to engage in violent and gruesome acts.

This network is comprised of sadistic groups that “glorify serious violence, cruelty, and gore.”
