Coldplay kiss cam affair hits social media, fake statement circulates online

A clip from Coldplay’s Massachusetts show has gone viral on social media after a prominent CEO and his colleague were caught sharing an intimate moment.

Andy Byron, the CEO of tech company Astronomer, was caught red-handed at a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts.

The tech mogul was caught on the concert’s kiss-cam hugging a woman from behind – a woman who isn’t his wife.

The woman he was sharing the embrace with is none other than Kristin Cabot, the company’s human resources officer.

In the clip, Coldplay’s front man, Chris Martin, read the situation perfectly, saying that either the couple is shy or they’re having an affair.

“Oh, look at these two. Either they are having an affair or they’re just really shy,” he said in response to the couple detangling themselves and shying away from the camera.

The clip of them intertwining at the concert has since gone viral, with millions of views on TikTok and a multitude of videos reposted to different platforms.

When typing “Coldplay” into TikTok, the adulterous moment is the first thing to surface. One video, captioned “trouble in paradise,” received five million views and tens of thousands of comments.

TikTok users flocked to the comment section to express their opinions on the situation.

“Oh my god, that looks like Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Astronomer Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot. Oh, that’s gonna be one awkward board meeting, if not a couple of divorces too,” the top comment on the post said.

Another commenter mentioned that if they saw their “husband cuddled up with his mistress at a Coldplay concert,” they would “actually be sent to the psych ward.”

Many people outed Byron and his mistress, telling people in the comment section exactly who the pair is.

“This is Andy Byron (CEO of Astronomer), and the woman is his CPO, Kristin Cabot. Andy is married with two kids,” the comment reads.

Other posts surfaced on platforms like X, with Attorney and podcaster Eric Matheny making the situation into one big joke.

“Coldplay hasn’t made a single in years. Last night, they made two,” the post reads with a screenshot of the moment the two executives were caught canoodling.

Byron supposedly released a statement regarding his behaviour, and many social media users were confused as to why he was making himself out to be the victim.

However, the statement supposedly from Byron has turned out to be fake, as confirmed by the Director of Communications, Taylor Jones, to Men’s Journal.

According to The Nightly, the statement originated from an X account claiming to be a journalist from CBS.
