Astronomer CEO resigns following embarrassing kiss-cam cheating scandal

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron has resigned from the company following the viral Coldplay kiss-cam scandal that erupted across social media.

In a LinkedIn post by Astronomer, the company reports that CEO Andy Bryon has “tendered his resignation,” which was accepted by the board of directors.

The post continues by saying that the company was known, before the incident, as “a pioneer in the DataOps space,” and despite its new reputation, reassures its customers and shareholders that it's still the same old Astronomer.

It’s safe to say that the footage of Byron and his head of human resources (HR), Kristin Cabot, exploded on social media and had netizens crafting memes for days.

The memeable moment caught the attention of Instagram, X, and TikTok users with hundreds of posts popping up across all timelines.

On Instagram, there are hundreds of videos and memes mocking the adulterous duo.

One post shows the pair in a LinkedIn profile picture with the banner “Open to Work” across it. The caption reads, I’m sorry, but someone had to.”

Another meme shows two characters from the hit TV series “The Office,” in place of Byron and Cabot.

The memes take on a similar format, instead of Byron and Cabot the picture is altered to show two different people in the same now iconic pose.

On X, Mr Beast got involved in the trend telling his followers that he “bought two VIP Coldplay tickets and one random person that tags their boss in the replies will win them.”

On Elon Musk’s platform, X, the memes are out of control, with many showing disgraced American financier Jeffrey Epstein, and current US President Donald Trump in the same compromising pose.

Byron, the CEO of tech company Astronomer, was caught red-handed at a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts.

The tech mogul was caught on the concert’s kiss-cam hugging a woman from behind – a woman who isn’t his wife.

The woman he was sharing the embrace with is none other than Kristin Cabot, the company’s human resources officer.

Coldplay’s front man, Chris Martin, called the pair out, saying they were either really shy or they were having an affair.

Martin didn’t know how right he was until the scandal hit headlines and social media in the following days.
