Social media users pay tribute to Jenna Marble’s late chihuahua, Mr Marbles

It’s official. After 17 years of life, former YouTube star Jenna Marble’s chihuahua, Mr Marbles, has died, and social media users are devastated.
Devastated is an understatement when it comes to the passing of YouTube icon Jenna Marble’s chihuahua, Mr Marbles.
Jenna Mourey’s husband, Julien Solomita, has announced that their beloved dog has passed away at the age of 17.
Since Mourey’s abrupt exit from YouTube in 2020, following backlash over her past content, the former YouTuber has largely gone offline. However, Solomita has remained active on various platforms.
Solomita paid tribute to Mr Marbles via Instagram, saying, “Thank you for showing me what it truly means to ride or die.”
“I love you almost as much as you loved Jenna. Thanks for all the years of love and protection. Rest easy, chip.
The post received over 932,000 likes and nearly 200,000 direct-message sends on Instagram. Comments on the post have been disabled.
Despite Solomita disabling the comments, fans of Jenna and Julien’s took to various social media platforms to pay tribute to the chihuahua and lament a part of their childhood that has died alongside Mr Marbles.
“Rest in peace, Mr. Marbles. I grew up watching you, little dude. I’ll miss you so much,” said one user on X.
“Fly high, Mr Marbles,” said another X user with a reference to one of Mourey’s old videos where she tested how many helium balloons it would take to lift her chihuahua off the floor.
“We may not have known you personally, but you touched us all. Thank you, Mr Marbles, for all the love you’ve shared. Condolences to Jenna, Julien, and the whole pack at this time.”
One X user said, “f*ck 2025” after hearing the news that Mourey’s first dog had died.
“Oh, I've never been so upset over a stranger's dog passing. RIP Mr. Marbles.”
“MR MARBLES GONE GOD FUCKING DAMN IT,” said another X user.
Many people said that this is truly a strange parasocial moment, as although they never met Mr Marbles or Mourey, they can only imagine how difficult the passing of one of the internet's most beloved animals must be for the YouTubers.
Mr Marbles was featured in hundreds of Mourey’s YouTube videos, and the channel “Jenna Marbles” was even named after the chihuahua.
These posts show that Mr. Marbles wasn’t just a pet, but a symbol of a generation that grew up online.
