Users on X didn’t expect to find the Kremlin headquarters in the US but were quick to run with the jokes online.
X user @nothyphenated2 shared the search results that they got when they typed “Kremlin headquarters” into Google Maps and found a place in Palm Beach, Florida.
I also thought for a minute that it was a photoshopped joke, so I checked the location on Google. To my surprise, what was marked as Kremlin Headquarters was actually Mar-a-Lago resort, famous for being one of Donald Trump’s business ventures.
The user's search results started a funny discussion online with others sharing what they had found about the place.
The X user also shared some of the place's reviews: “Very interesting reading material in the bathrooms.” The comment also followed a picture of a bathroom with stacks of boxes with documents.
🤣🤣🤣

One user, believing that the shared screenshot had been photoshopped, revealed that it wasn’t, and the place has even been rated and given reviews.
Many people were curious to find the location themselves on the maps. However, not everyone was successful, or they were given different addresses.
“Slightly different results claiming it is a 'housing development,’” wrote one user.
When I checked the map a day later, the Kremlin Headquarters had migrated a little bit to the North, hinting there was something off with the Kremlin Headquarters sitting on top of Mar-a-Lago on Google Maps.
The building once belonged to American businesswoman Marjorie Merriweather Post, who later left the estate to the National Park Service, which sold it to Donald Trump.
“That’s Mar-el-Loco,” shared one user online, with another user adding, “Full loco.”
Some users who were able to find the “headquarters” also took the opportunity to leave their own comments.
had to make a review... pic.twitter.com/Xp9Gfferjb

“Somebody at Google had some fun!” wrote one X user. Nevertheless, after checking it on Google Maps, “Kremlin Headquarters” has already been changed to Marg-a-Lago Club.
Some users online weren’t sure that someone at Google did this. The situation could be related to Trump’s stance on Russia, which has alienated many people, especially those who support Ukraine.
