This year, Rihanna revealed that something exciting is on the way, Tenya Taylor “stunned” in full Marc Jacobs, Jason Derulo may or may not have taken a tumble, and so much more has been revealed after the 2025 Met Gala.

Jason Derulo falls down the Met Gala stairs, or did he?

As with every Met Gala event there’s always a rumor or two spread from the night and this year, it’s that singer Jason Derulo fell down the Met Gala stairs in spectacular fashion.

But it’s not true.

Derulo wasn’t even at the Met Gala. He reportedly said via Instagram that he was rehearsing and not even at the event.

Regardless, social media users continue to post the meme, which has been a long-standing joke among netizens.

The image, which social media goers claim is Derulo, is actually an incident from the 2011 Cannes Film Festival in France.

The person falling down the stairs is actually a crasher who broke into the event and promptly flew down the red carpet while being apprehended by security.

Demi Moore’s stylist takes the theme literally

The theme of this year’s Met Gala was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which goes in tandem with The Met’s spring exhibition, CBS reports.

This year’s theme celebrates the lineage of Black fashion and dandyism. This term is usually attributed to someone who asserts themselves and their identity through fashion.

Moore’s stylist took the tailoring brief quite literally and dressed Moore in a full-on beaded tie. Some users commended Moore for her “out of the box” thinking, while others saw this as somewhat of a fashion flop.

While the outfits and some of the Met Gala appearances went viral, netizens seemed to be pretty gracious when it came to passing judgment on the A-listers during the event.

Maybe the internet isn’t that mean after all.
