Furry thieves battle Cybertruck and leave the scene hungry

Someone tried breaking into a ‘Cybertruck Owners Club’ forum member’s Cybertruck, but it’s not what you’d expect.

The popular forum ‘Cybertruck Owners Club,’ where users post news about Cybertrucks and their experiences with their electric vehicles (EVs), showed just how strong the vehicle's Vault really is.

The Vault is just the bed of the truck that is enclosed by an exoskeleton covered by a Tonneau cover that opens with the press of a button.

Although the Tonneau doesn’t make the cargo bed waterproof, it is supposed to be pretty durable, considering that Elon Musk, the EVs creator, claims that the vehicle is “apocalypse proof.”

This was proven by one Cybertruck Owners Club user, Spidog, who posted photos of the damage done to their EV’s Tonneau.

Someone really wanted to get into the cargo bed to steal whatever was inside. But it’s not the usual Cybertruck carjacking or property theft you would expect.

The pictures show the Cybertruck out in the wilderness of Minnesota, covered with dusty paw prints belonging to certain furry thieves.

The caption on the post reads: “Raccoons tried to enter vault overnight while camping in Minnesota!”

The Tonneau, the sliding part that protects the cargo in the bed of the truck, is badly damaged with pieces of Tonneau ripped out. Yet nothing seems to be missing from the truck, meaning that the little beasts didn’t make it into the cargo bed.

Some comments on the post tell of how durable the Cybertruck really is. One comment said:

Damn, I didn't have that on my Cybertruck bingo card!

Cybertrucks have been in the news for various reasons, mostly, for the ridiculous situations they seem to get themselves into.

Musk previously claimed that the Tesla Cybertruck would one day function as a boat, and one Cybertruck user in Slovakia instantly proved him wrong.

Another scenario that questions Musk’s claims about the durability of the EV showed that the Cybertruck isn’t “apocalypse proof,” as it’s seemingly no match for the Mongolian desert.
