Sam Altman breaks the internet using ChatGPT’s new tool
Sam Altman is promoting the newest version of ChatGPT Images, and X users can’t unsee what he posted.
“There’s still time to delete this,” multiple X users said under Sam Altman’s newest post.
In a desperate attempt to promote ChatGPT’s latest image creation tool, the OpenAI CEO posted an image of himself that some have called a shameless thirst trap.
Altman is playing on the sexy holiday calendar theme by having ChatGPT render an image of himself dressed as a sensual firefighter with rock-hard abs.
The post received 2.1 million views on X and thousands of comments, begging the tech CEO to delete the image.
“It’s not too late to delete this, Sam,” said one user, while others complained that AI is being used for nonsensical reasons.
“You nuked a rainforest for this, and the calendar isn’t even close to accurate,” said another X user.
To add insult to injury, the calendar that Altman generated isn’t even correct, as the dates are completely wrong.
In the Altman cinematic universe, Christmas Day is on a Sunday this year, when in reality it falls on a Thursday.
Many users taunted Altman by commenting on edits of the calendar, which show the correct dates.

However, users didn’t use ChatGPT Images to edit Altman’s creation. Instead, they used the competing image editing AI model Nano Banana from Google’s Gemini.
OpenAI released an official announcement saying that the newest version of ChatGPT Images will include many improvements “that translate to more immediately usable outputs.”
This obviously isn’t the case for Altman’s novelty calendar. However, OpenAI did add a disclaimer saying that while “the model shows clear improvements across a range of cases, though results remain imperfect.”
ChatGPT Images is an AI feature within ChatGPT that allows users to edit and alter their images based on text prompts.
The latest version is reportedly more reliable and better adheres to users' requests than the previous version.
One notable upgrade is ChatGPT’s ability to create text, as the model is supposedly capable of rendering smaller and denser text.
