Taylor Swift breaks another record with New Heights podcast on YouTube

The New Heights episode featuring Taylor Swift set a new record as YouTube’s most-watched live podcast, overtaking podcaster Joe Rogan’s interview with President Donald Trump.

The Swifties have done it again, giving their idol fresh bragging rights after 1.3 million people tuned in to watch her live appearance on the New Heights podcast, co-hosted by her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

The livestream shattered the previous record held by The Joe Rogan Experience, which drew 800,000 viewers for the eponymous host’s interview with Trump last year, when he was still a Republican presidential nominee.

So many people joined to see Swift talk to Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, that the platform temporarily crashed.

Jason later noted the significance of the episode’s peak viewership number in a post on X, calling it “the epitome of numerology,” a nod to Swift’s well-known fondness for the number 13.

During the podcast, Swift announced that her 12th album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” would be released on October 3rd, or 10/3, another reference to number 13. It will feature 12 new songs, including a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.

“It just comes from the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life,” Swift told the Kelce brothers.

Trump, who declared “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” on his Truth Social platform last year after the “Bad Blood” singer endorsed Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the presidential election, has yet to comment on Swift’s latest podcast record.

He most recently took aim at Swift during the controversy over actor Sidney Sweeney’s “good jeans” ad for American Eagle, which gained extra attention when it emerged that the “Euphoria” and “White Lotus” star is a registered Republican.

Congratulating Sweeney for creating the “HOTTEST” ad out there, the president used the moment to call Swift “WOKE” and “NO LONGER HOT.”

The New Heights episode featuring Swift is now the podcast’s most popular ever, with 14,8 million views at the time of publishing, just over a day after it was live-streamed. That would place it around the 50th most popular Joe Rogan Experience episode, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rogan’s UFO-themed conversation with Bob Lazar and Jeremy Corbell remains his most-watched overall, with 64 million views, followed by his interview with Trump at 59 million.

What other records has Swift broken?

Swift holds a number of other world records, including for the highest-grossing music tour ever for her Eras Tour that started in March 2023 and concluded in December 2024.

It was the first tour to surpass $1 billion in revenue within its first year, according to Guinness World Records, and became the first to cross the $2 billion mark.

As of August 2025, Swift is also the most streamed artist on Spotify, with over 107 billion streams, according to ChartMasters, which tracks data in the music industry.

Swift has also been named TIME magazine’s “Person of the Year” more times than any other woman – which is twice, in 2017 and 2023. Trump claimed the title the following year, in 2024.

She also holds the record for most “Album of the Year” Grammy wins, as well as nominations, on top of most “Video of the Year” wins at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Her other records include the greatest seismic activity caused by a music concert, with seismic activity equivalent to a 2,3-magnitude earthquake registered during her Eras Tour show at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington, on July 22nd, 2023.
