Apple finds a final solution to a previous upgrade on the iPad Pro

Chances are, the upcoming M5 iPad Pro may include a second, front-facing camera. That's good news not only for selfie takers.

Apple is expected to release a new iPad Pro with an upgraded chip. However, it’s been reported that this isn’t the only change the new device may include.

When Apple released its latest iPad, the M4 iPad Pro, last year, the device was thinner and included a FaceTime camera that shifted from portrait to landscape.

The change focused on users who use the device in landscape mode more often, making it easier for them to use Face ID, take selfies, or make video calls.

However, Bloomberg reports that this left users who prefer portrait mode in an uncomfortable position, as they could not unlock their device using the front camera.

To please both sides, Apple’s upcoming M5 iPad Pro may include a second, front-facing camera. This way, all iPad users can access a lens regardless of the device’s orientation.

According to Cult of Mac, the Pro will have the honor of being the company’s first device powered by the brand new M5 chip. Aside from this, it won’t include any other significant changes, which could be related to the release of last year’s M4 iPad Pro. The new device, the company’s thinnest product ever, also included a new OLED screen and an M4 chip.
