Apple knows how important it is to keep product descriptions updated, even if it makes people laugh.
Apple has just released its latest iPad Air, which comes with an M3 chip and supports Apple Intelligence. The upgraded device comes in 11- and 13-inch models and four different colors.
The company also upgraded its base-level iPad by giving it an A16 chip and more storage, which now starts from 128GB. However, the device doesn’t include Apple Intelligence.
While some users are still getting into the details of the upgraded gadgets’ specifications, one X user noted a funny update on the company’s site related to its accessories.
“BREAKING: Apple's Polishing Cloth is confirmed to be compatible with the M3 iPad Air models and the iPad (A16),” wrote X user @aaronp613 and an analyst at MacRumors.

The user also added a screenshot from the Apple store that shows the page with its polishing cloth and its “compatibility” with other devices. The post soon prompted a hilarious discussion online.
“Whoever’s in charge of updating that section of the website has got to love this. So hilarious,” wrote one X user.
“Thank God. I thought I was gonna have to upgrade to the Ultra Pro Max plus Polishing Cloth,” joked another.
“I have an old iPhone 7, do you think it is compatible with it? Additionally, what happens if I try to use it on an incompatible model or god forbid a Samsung phone?”
Another user also added: “Can confirm, it did not work on my 9th gen iPad.”
Some people thought that the real joke in this situation is the fact that the company actually sold the cloth for $19.
“Buying an expensive pointless fabric from Apple is WILD,” noted one user online.
Some users also joked about the cloth, stating that perhaps it would “update” like the rest of the company's devices.
“Needs an update, I mean, Really? A cloth that was released in 2021. Apple stopped being innovative. What happened,” said one X user.
“I washed mine last week and I’ve left it drying hoping that it will auto-update for the new iPad like my AirPods Pro,” wrote another X user.
Many users find Apple accessories overpriced and not always worth the hype. One example is Apple’s Magic Mouse, which often triggers its users with the way it has to be charged.
While some people turn to third-party alternatives when it comes to certain accessories, wanting to get a higher-quality or more affordable deal, some Redditors shared what accessories they bought from Apple that were actually worth the hype.
Many users named accessories suitable for iPhones, listing things such as a wireless charger, power bank, and phone case.
A number of Reddit users also seem to be getting used to accessories based on Apple’s MagSafe concept, which comes from magnetic power connectors that the company first introduced in 2006. Now, users can buy MagSafe chargers, wallet cases, car holders, and more.
