The latest but not the greatest: users complain about buggy Apple Watch Series 10

Not even half a year later after its release, many Apple Watch Series 10 users have been forced to replace it.

The new smartwatch boasts features such as sleep apnea detection and a screen with side-angle viewing.

However, users who already have the latest Apple smartwatch claim that the device’s speaker is faulty, affecting the sound quality.

The watch owners say that the sound becomes distorted and muffled over time. This problem occurs when users are taking calls or listening to music. Some users also revealed that, due to this issue, they can’t hear their alarm.

The company hasn’t publicly addressed the situation yet, but it’s reportedly offering replacements to some users who own a Series 10 watch.

Some complaints about the sound quality date back four months, and more recent discussions about the issue are still emerging online.

“Has anyone noticed that the speaker volume is really low? It's almost impossible to hear calls. Does anyone have the same problem as me?” wrote one user online.

“Mine is loud enough but crackles and is distorted. It was great for the first couple of weeks, but the sound quality started to degrade after that, and even the chimes sounded blown out and distorted,” shared another Redditor who got their watch replaced but soon noticed that the same issue was happening again.

Some users also came up with solutions that helped them to fix the problem.

“Fixed this issue by submerging the watch into water and then ejected it with the speaker ejecting tool. Series 10 46mm titanium case,” shared user online.

Another user recommended trying “using blue tac to clean out the speaker or small brush.”

While Apple has not yet released a permanent fix, many affected users are sharing their complaints on the company’s community page.
