The new release includes two new smartwatches and a heart rate monitor, available from May 21st.
Garmin has released three new products: two watches, the Forerunner 570 and 970, and a heart rate monitor, the HRM 600.
The latest company’s watches come with “brightest AMOLED displays yet,” increased battery life, and a built-in speaker and microphone, allowing users to take calls without needing a phone.
Garmin Forerunner 570 is priced at $550 and comes in two sizes, 42 mm and 47 mm. The smartwatch has an aluminum bezel and new colors, such as Translucent Imperial Purple, Bone, or Whitestone.
While many of Garmin’s watches include a solar-powered option, the Forerunner 570 doesn’t have one, with the maximum battery life capacity being up to 11 days.
The watch's features include a Garmin Coach training program, health and wellness monitoring, including heart rate monitoring, a sleep coach, women’s health statistics, and more.
Garmin’s Forunner 970, available in one size, 47 mm, and in three different colors, is priced at $750. Its specifications show that the device has a 1.4-inch AMOLED display. Its battery life is longer than Forerunner 570, lasting up to 15 days.
The Forerunner 970 model has all the features of the 570 model, and it also includes built-in mapping and additional metrics, such as Running Economy, Running Tolerance, and more.
One feature that the Forerunner 970 includes is Step Speed Loss, which can provide information about how much a person slows down when they put their foot on the ground.
However, this feature is only available if a user also has Garmin’s HRM 600 heart rate monitor, which is priced at $170. The device works with both the latest Forerunners and other watches.
The device, which has a two-month battery life, is suitable for those who can’t wear a smartwatch or other tracker. It can provide metrics such as pace, distance data, steps, time, and burned calories. This information can later be found on Garmin Connect.
Both watches and the heart rate monitor are available to order starting May 21st.
