This Holoconnects device can create holograms using real-time video and illusion alone.
Holoconnects is redefining how we communicate with one another and advertise products by introducing the ‘Holobox’ at this year's CES convention.
This device uses a live video feed that is projected onto the Holobox’s transparent screen and a 50cm lightbox, giving the illusion that the object, person, or logo is three-dimensional.
The Holobox also has built-in Hi-Fi speakers and various ports including HDMI (2) USB Touch, a USB Drive, a 6.3mm jack, dimmable lights, and a LAN-port.
Holoconnects has showcased its large Holoboxes and smaller versions at CES 2025. The larger Holobox has an 86-inch display, weighs 551 pounds, and has two 80-watt front-facing speakers.
These larger boxes are most likely used in marketing and advertising, but Holoconnects claims that there are various use cases. It’s unclear whether the smaller holoboxes are just for show or whether they will be sold alongside the larger devices.
For example, automotive giant BMW used Holoconnects to present its BMW i5, using a wall of holoboxes to show a 3D image of their vehicle.
