The company will soon launch its photography-focused smartphone in China.
Huawei has announced the release date of its latest smartphone series, the Pura 80. The device should be launched on June 11th in China.
The Huawei Pura 80 series will include four models: the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+, and Pura 80 Ultra.
The shared teaser reveals that the device will come with two camera lenses, hinting at Huawei focusing on smartphone photography. It’s also been speculated that the device could include periscope-style telephoto lenses.
The release of the Pura 80 wouldn’t be the company’s first try at creating a dual telephoto lens, as Huawei already introduced it with the release of the P40 Pro+. Such a lens setup with two separate telephoto lenses allows the camera to take pictures from different perspectives.
Nevertheless, with a dual-periscope setup, the latest device would not only stand out with its zoom performance but overall optical capabilities.
It’s been reported that the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra will include a 1-inch LOFIC CMOS sensor. This sensor will use a RYYB pixel arrangement, which is known for improving low-light sensitivity.
Further specifications of the Ultra model include a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch periscope telephoto lens, which allows for wide and zoom shots.
The rest of the Pura 80 series might include Huawei’s Maple Original Colour Imaging technology, which is known to improve color accuracy and visual fidelity, reports Gizmo China.
Huawei’s Pura 80 series will be powered by the Kirin 9020 processor and will include the HarmonyOS 5 operating system.
