Lenovo introduces AI laptops for 'ultra-productivity'

Lenovo has presented its new range of laptops, which are suitable for collaboration with AI.

During the Lenovo Tech World’24 conference, the company shared its ambition of providing “smarter technology for all,” focusing mainly on better AI.

The company also revealed its latest laptops and hybrid AI PCs. One is the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition device, which can work as a tablet and a laptop and comes equipped with several AI capabilities.

The company’s latest PCs will have an Intel Core Ultra 200V processor with an NPU with 48 TOPs, making them suitable for handling AI-related tasks. This means that the laptops will also be suitable for Copilot+ AI features.

Regarding battery life, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition laptop stays on for up to 18 hours.

The company also revealed two more Lenovo PC models: the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition and the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, which will be powered by Lenovo’s latest processors.

The devices will come with a smart energy management feature known as an efficiency optimizer. This feature can adjust power based on how the laptop is being used. Users can also make their own adjustments to performance and battery life according to their preferences.

The laptops will also include an AI-driven Smart Connect platform that allows the integration of other gadgets to create a device ecosystem. Through this ecosystem, users will be able to use AI-powered tools with their devices that do not have AI capabilities.

Since the company pays a lot of attention to making the new laptops “personalized AI devices,” it presented “AI Now” – an AI agent or a chatbot driven by large language models that work locally on the PC. Lenovo states that with this feature, users get a personalized and productive experience secured locally on the device.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition will become available in November 2024.
