Samsung ends software support for another three devices

Add a few more Samsung devices to the list of still good to use but considered outdated by the company.

Samsung recently updated its list of outdated devices by adding the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, Galaxy M51 smartphones, and the Galaxy Tab A7 tablet.

This means that while these devices are still functioning, they’ll no longer receive software updates or security patches, making them less secure to use.

All three devices were launched in 2020 and came with Android 10, which received software updates until Android 12.

According to Samsung’s update policy, new devices now receive software updates for about seven years. However, these smartphones and tablet were released before this update, thus receiving only four years of updates.

While the devices might still be up and running, it’s recommended that they be upgraded to newer models to avoid security-related issues, slower performance, and outdated features.
