Galaxy S26 specs leaked: Samsung is in its Ozempic era, while users want a bigger battery

While the company is sticking with the thin smartphone trend and introducing an even thinner Samsung Galaxy S26 next year, this is not what users want to pay for.
Samsung launches its latest smartphones during its annual Samsung Unpacked event, with the next scheduled for February 25, 2026. However, leaked information has already hinted at what users might expect from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26.
According to a leaker on X, @UniverseIce, Samsung’s future smartphone is expected to be 6.9mm thick, making it 0.3mm thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S25.
The image shared by the leaker also reveals that the new device will feature a vertical camera island, unlike the previous Samsung smartphones, which have a no-island design.

The image also suggests that the new device will feature Qi2 charging, a new type of wireless charging technology known for its speed, efficiency, and convenience.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy S26's design is expected to feature a slightly larger display, increasing from 6.2 inches to 6.3 inches.
The S26 Ultra may also feature rounder corners, notes Notebook Check.
Samsung Galaxy S26 camera specifications released
After sharing the possible future Samsung Galaxy S26 design, the leaker also shared some information about the company’s new smartphone’s camera.
According to their X post, all three upcoming Samsung smartphones (Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra) will feature the same camera specifications.
There’ll be a 10-megapixel zoom camera with a 3× optical zoom. It will also feature an F2.4 aperture and small 1.0-micrometer pixels, specifications that are useful when taking pictures in bright light. However, they might not work so well in dark scenes.
I can say with certainty that the Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra all use the same 3x camera specification, which is as follows:

3x camera : 10MP , ISOCELL , 1/3.94undefined , 1.0μm , F2.4,36°
Its effective pixel count is 10MP, not 12MP.

The X user’s next update was related to the smartphone’s front camera.
“The front camera hole on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is noticeably larger than on the S25 Ultra – reaching a diameter of 4mm. This is the biggest hole ever used on any Samsung Ultra model, even though the front-camera specs are identical to those on the S25 Ultra,” notes the leaker, adding that they’re surprised to see Samsung enlarge the front camera as it’s known to have “the smallest front-camera hole among all Android phones.”
💥💥💥I’m about to reveal an exclusive detail that has never been mentioned before:

What do users expect from the Samsung Galaxy S26?
The leaked information about Samsung’s future smartphones sparked an online discussion.
While the leaks provided a glimpse of what to expect from the new Samsung devices, users weren’t surprised.
“It's 0.3mm thinner, has slightly more rounded edges, and has the cameras arranged slightly differently. It looks basically just like every Samsung phone since the S20,” noted one user.
“Who even cares by now? Same bricks, 3-4 cameras in line or in a square. 1mm thinner, same OS. 1.5k pricetags. All to do what? Scroll TikTok?” added another Redditor.

One of the main concerns that netizens notice with slim smartphones is their battery life.
“Stop making them thinner and fill the space with battery!” wrote one user.
“Nothing new. Same pathetic battery backup. Chinese OEMs are going to a 7000 mAh battery, and Samsung is stuck at a 4500 mAh battery,” shared another Redditor.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 features a 4,000 mAh battery, which can provide around 8-12 hours of moderate usage.
