Samsung has confirmed issues with the Dolby Atmos feature, which is supposed to enhance the audio experience.
If you were wondering why your Galaxy device's sound is poor quality when using the Dolby Atmos feature, an update is likely to blame.
Users raised the issue with audio, which appears to affect some of the Samsung Galaxy S23 line and Tab S9 models, in September on Reddit and the Samsung community pages.
They complained that the Dolby Atmos feature caused sound distortions, including reverb and sound spikes.
Back then, some speculated that the issue may have been related to the Samsung One UI 6.1.1 update. However, the company hasn’t confirmed this.
Now, Samsung has admitted the problem to its community. According to Sammobile, the issue stemmed from the Dolby Atmos library update which was installed along with the Samsung One UI 6.1.1.
The update was initially intended to improve the 360 audio feature but affected other audio aspects.
According to Samsung, Dolby Atmos has been informed about the problem and is working on a library update, though no specific date has been provided.
