Senior citizens struck by data breach


Kisco Senior Living has fallen victim to what they describe as “a data security incident” in which the data of 26,000 people was exposed.

On June 6th, 2023, the senior living organization experienced “a network disruption.” Despite securing its network environment and engaging with cybersecurity experts, it was determined that an unauthorized party had accessed certain files.

Kisco worked with a third-party vendor and conducted a “comprehensive review of the potentially affected data to determine whether personal information may have been involved.”

The organization states that it has “implemented additional measures” since the incident and has notified the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Kisco Senior Living is offering affected individuals complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through IDX.
