As one might expect, there was a strong social media reaction to the Rick and Morty parody, with X user @OneNationUnderGod championing, “Yes, get all the ALIENS out of our country now!!” adding that “we have a man with balls in the [White House].“

Others followed suit, lamenting the fact that the White House has social media platforms (in this case TikTok), especially when the debts are so high.
Why the timing matters
The video coincides with Adult Swim cartoon release, President Curtis, in which an impressionable black president embarks on oddball adventures, but based here on Earth.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, show creator Dan Harmon spoke of one of The Curtis’ main characteristics as “a naïveté that you could overlap with Trump."
Harmon ultimately said the fictional president became a blend of multiple commanders-in-chief rather than a direct parody of any one leader.
He described Curtis as "our fantasy president, warts and all," combining traits from several administrations.
Although the White House has not linked its video to Harmon's interview, the close timing fueled speculation that the animation was a deliberate cultural response.
