CNA is a financial company based in Chicago, Illinois, that serves the insurance and risk management needs of various businesses worldwide. The Nolan Financial Group is a financial services company that provides various financial plans.

Wells Fargo is one of the “Big Four” banks in the US, along with JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citibank.

It’s unclear as to what information and how many people have been impacted by the breach.

Wells Fargo updated Cybernews with the latest insight into the situation at hand.

A spokesperson said that they're "aware of a data security incident that a third-party vendor experienced. This incident did not involve any Wells Fargo individual bank accounts. Wells Fargo systems were not affected. We take the security of our customers and their information very seriously and are working closely with the vendor to take the necessary steps to protect those who had impacted data in the incident."

Another well-known US bank belonging to the “Big Four” suffered a data breach as a result of the IMS attack.

Bank of America said it had been affected by a security breach that affected tens of thousands of customers.

IMS is a US-based subsidiary of Infosys, an Indian multinational technology giant.

Bank of America has approximately 69 million customers, almost 4,000 financial centers, around 15,000 ATMs, and 58 million verified digital users.

Infosys ransomware attack

The attack on IMS happened in November 2023, when the Infosys subsidiary discovered that specific systems were encrypted by ransomware.

The breach notification submitted to the Office of the Maine Attorney General suggests that the incident occurred sometime in late October 2023.

Following the breach, names and other personally identifiable information that the company didn’t name were revealed.
