The 2025 WWE season has been one of the busiest in recent years, and the move to Netflix only amplified the pace. With Raw, SmackDown, and NXT now streaming to a global audience, every shift in momentum feels bigger, and the road to Survivor Series: WarGames has been full of sharp turns.
Cody Rhodes continues to anchor the main-event scene as Undisputed WWE Champion, but the pressure around him keeps growing. Drew McIntyre’s storyline suspension has left a noticeable gap in the title picture, opening the door for new challengers. Over on SmackDown, LA Knight, Gunther, and Carmelo Hayes are all pushing their way into top-tier status, making the championship landscape feel more crowded than it has in years.
The Women’s division is just as competitive. Bianca Belair, IYO SKY, Tiffany Stratton, and Rhea Ripley are all shaping the season with rivalries that shift between brands, and the new Netflix era makes cross-show storytelling feel more connected. NXT has also fed into this momentum, with emerging talent like Roxanne Perez and Trick Williams getting more exposure on the global stage.
All of this feeds directly into Survivor Series: WarGames, where faction warfare, unresolved grudges, and brand-level rivalries collide inside the double cage. With so many moving pieces this season, the match feels less like a one-night spectacle and more like the natural next step in a year full of rising tensions.

Where will WWE be streaming in 2025?
At the beginning of 2025, WWE events will be available to stream on different platforms, depending on your location. While Netflix is set to take over full rights in the upcoming years, several countries still remain on pre-existing contracts with local platforms. Here’s where you can watch the upcoming shows.
International viewers. WWE Raw will be available on Netflix in numerous regions, including parts of Europe, South America, and Asia. However, key markets like India and Japan will continue to stream on platforms such as SonyLiv and ABEMA due to ongoing licensing deals.
US viewers. Raw will remain exclusive to Netflix starting January 20th, 2025, at 8 PM ET.
International viewers. SmackDown will join Netflix in many global markets, though certain regions, including India and Japan, will need to wait for existing agreements to expire.
US viewers. SmackDown continues to air on the USA Network.
International viewers. Netflix will host NXT in multiple countries, but regions with existing agreements may continue streaming on local platforms for the time being.
US viewers. NXT airs on The CW Network. The next special event, NXT Roadblock, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It will air live as a special episode of NXT on the CW Network.
Will archived WWE content be on Netflix?
Yes, some archived WWE programming is now on Netflix as part of the partnership launched in January 2025. Netflix has been rolling out a curated library that currently includes past episodes of WWE Raw in the US and a wider mix of archive titles internationally. In regions like the UK and Australia, fans can find around 60 classic WWE shows, including pay-per-views, specials, and compilation programs.
That said, the entire WWE Network archive hasn’t been moved over. Content from other promotions, such as WCW or Mid-South Wrestling, isn’t included, and Netflix’s archive expansion remains gradual.
Here's the historical WWE content available on Netflix:
- WrestleMania: 40 seasons or 42 episodes (1985–2024)
- SummerSlam: 37 episodes (1988–2024)
- Fastlane: 7 episodes (2015–2023)
- Battleground: 5 episodes (2013–2017)
- Elimination Chamber: 5 episodes (2013–2017)
- WWE Extreme Rules: 14 episodes (2009–2022)

- Backlash: 19 episodes (1999–2024)
- Money in the Bank: 15 episodes (2010–2024)
- Survivor Series: 24 episodes
- NXT Vault: Netflix offers the full last three seasons of NXT (2022–2024) for streaming. Additionally, you’ll find episodes from seasons 2012 to 2021. However, these earlier seasons are incomplete, meaning not all episodes are currently available.
- SmackDown Vault: for SmackDown fans, Netflix provides full access to the last three seasons (2022–2024). There’s also a selection of episodes from the earlier seasons, specifically from 1999 to 2008, but these are incomplete and do not include every episode. Unfortunately, SmackDown seasons from 2008 to 2022 are entirely missing from Netflix’s library.
- RAW Vault: the last three seasons of RAW (2022–2024) are available in full on Netflix. Additionally, you can watch selected episodes from the earlier years, covering seasons 1993 to 2001. However, these seasons are incomplete, with only 5 to 20 episodes per season available. Sadly, there are no episodes at all from the RAW seasons spanning 2001 to 2021.
Will WWE PPV events be on Netflix?
WWE’s biggest Premium Live Events, including Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and SummerSlam, are available to stream on Netflix, but only in international markets outside the US. For viewers in those regions, the events are included in a regular Netflix subscription at no extra cost.
In the United States, the situation is different. WWE PPVs remain exclusive to Peacock, NBC’s streaming service. Instead, Netflix carries WWE Raw domestically, while SmackDown continues on USA Network and NXT airs on The CW.
In short, WWE’s PPV availability on Netflix depends entirely on where you’re watching: Netflix streams them internationally, but US fans will still need Peacock.
