Meta updates its video player

Watching videos on Facebook has become much easier after Meta presented its full-screen video player.

Now, users will be able to watch videos both horizontally and vertically with “consistent design for all video lengths.”

But that’s not all. The company also announced that new control buttons should be available in the next few weeks. What new features do they contain?

A new slider that allows users to move through the video will be added, as well as buttons to move the video backward or forward for 10 seconds.

Meta also claims that it will show “more relevant video recommendations” despite their length.

The new updates will first be introduced for Android and iOS users in Canada and the US, with the rest of the world seeing them in the upcoming months.
