Images of a new Garmin sleep tracker wristband have surfaced online. According to the rumors, the sleep tracker is called the Garmin Index Sleep.
Unlike a traditional sleep tracker, the Garmin Index Sleep is designed to be worn on the upper arm. The added space on the upper arm allows for more accurate and stable measurement results compared to wearables worn on the wrist.
It syncs with Garmin-developed smartwatches and the Garmin Connect app via TrueUp, allowing physiological data to be synchronized between multiple Garmin devices.
According to Garmin Rumors, the device is expected to not only monitor your sleeping pattern, but also tracks your heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), heart rate variability (HRV), skin temperature, and breathing variation.
It is alleged that the Index Sleep also features a function called Smart Wake Alarm that wakes users via vibrations.
An official launch date has not been set, but the appearance of multiple promotional clips suggests that an introduction might be underway very soon. At this point, how much the Garmin Index Sleep should cost remains a mystery.
Recently, Garmin introduced the Garmin Vívoactive 6, a smartwatch with a brighter AMOLED display and a battery life of up to 11 days. It can record more than 80 preloaded GPS and indoor sports activities, including running, hiking, cycling, swimming, and wheelchair activities.
In addition, the smartwatch allows you to read and answer emails, text messages, and alerts, make payments, and send your live location to a specific person in case of an emergency.
The Garmin Vívoactive 6 is available in Lunar Gold/Bone, Slate/Black, Jasper Green, and Pink Dawn and costs €329.
