Google has updated its virtual shopping tools to minimize the struggles that users face when shopping online.
Google now allows US users who use mobile devices to search for specific items, expanding their search through the “Can’t find it? Create it” prompt.
The feature allows users to create a detailed search and use the prompt to get some ideas on the garment they’re looking for, matching the design with products already available in the market.
For example, if a user is looking for a “colorful midi dress with big daisies,” the search provides possible variants, a list of stores, and other information on where they can find one.
Google has also updated its AR Beauty features by introducing the possibility to “try on and shop beauty looks with multiple makeup products virtually, inspired by celebrities, influencers, and beauty trends.” It should roll out this week for US shoppers.
The new feature allows users to “try” different makeup products by tapping on “See the looks on you” on mobile Search and clicking “Try it on” via camera.
Another tool that Google previously released was virtual try-on. Now, the company is expanding the feature to allow users to see how garments such as tops and dresses look on a person, as well as pants and skirts from “hundreds of brands across the web.”
The tool allows users to see how different garments look on diverse, real-looking models in sizes XXS to XXL.
The feature also allows users to see how a certain garment can be styled or what other items it goes with.
