Topographic maps, already an available feature for the Apple Watch, may soon be accessible on iPhones, Macs, and Vision Pro.
Topographic maps first became available on Apple’s watchOS10. These maps are great for navigating because they show trails, contour lines, elevation, and other helpful information for intrepid users.
According to MacRumors, who were able to review the code for the map, the feature might be expanded to other Apple product updates: visionOS2, macOS15, and iOS18.

They found that the code for topographic maps is already laid down and is just currently inactive. This can only mean that there’s a good chance that it’ll soon be available – and not only on the Apple Watch.
