The trend is somewhat more troubling on social media sites with relatively small audiences. According to the Pew Research Center, 57% of X users get news directly from the platform, and 55% of Truth Social users get their news from the platform owned by President Donald Trump.
“Women are more likely to regularly get news from Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, while men are more likely to say they get it from YouTube, X, and Reddit,” the research reads.
I don’t get news from Instagram myself. My Instagram feed is mostly filled with runners, parrots, and posts of my cherished friends.
