Pineapples in the sky – UFO chunks from Burlison, Tyson, and Ocasio-Cortez

This week, The Cosmic Report rounds up what some of the leading figures in the UFO disclosure conversation have been saying, as the suspense mounts for the next batch of evidence released.

I love browsing the UFO forum on Reddit, as the conversation gets rather fruity, especially when it comes to some of the usual talking heads in the disclosure movement. They are often prone to saying zany things, and this week was no exception.

Chunk #1 – Eric Burlison (again)

Regular readers here will know Eric Burlison well, the Republican congressman has certainly been a constant source of positivity, as UFO believers await further news from those at the top.

For those new to this, Representative Burlison is one of the major advocates for UFO transparency, with a “cautious skeptic” type of mindset, but occasionally will blurt something quirky out into the stratosphere.

This week, speaking to Fox News, Burlison has said he has been briefed on 52 videos, along with Tim Burchett and Anna Paulina Luna, claiming that “some of them are very interesting… some are clearly balloons or birds.”

One might expect the Reddit community to have a capricious conversation going off such conjecture. However, that wasn’t the case – Redditors were stone cold serious.

The pick of the interchanges included one UFOer putting it out there that perhaps "1000's of people vetted these videos beforehand,” implying lots of bureaucratic fact-checking.

One answer assertively came back with “we have no context for any of the research associated with these videos, conclusions or anything else,” echoing a lot of people's sentiment with the particulars of the first installment of files that President Donald Trump released on May 8th.

But as the Redditor quotes the hosting site, these files are hosted on mentioning that readers shouldn’t interpret the evidence as wild as it gets, for how can we remain without interpretation, if no context is given to us?

Chunk #2 – Neil deGrasse Tyson

If there was a chart for most trending spokesperson, it would have to be this outspoken astrophysicist, who has previously broadcast his skepticism of aliens being out there, much to the ire of the UFO community.

But now, on his Startalk podcast, Tyson eloquently expressed his views, putting his previous scepticism largely down to science. "I'm a scientist and in the history of science, the correct explanation has never been magic or aliens ever,” Tyson explained.

And expounding on his previous “bring out the alien” comments, largely in conjunction with the release of his new book, Tyson (less sarcastically this time) offered:

We have sufficient reason to think there are aliens in the back shed because of testimonies from whistleblowers and insiders... So, okay, I'm just sitting back waiting for you to walk out the alien.

And one Redditor backed him up by saying “I think it’s cool that we will have a dude that’s pleasing to listen to explain complicated and theoretical concepts as it relates to UFO’s.”

And, to be fair, when a lot of UFO disclosure is done in lockstep, a refreshing zinger from such a spokesperson can be as refreshing as a pineapple chunk itself.

Chunk #3 – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

The art of the politician is to keep the conversation going, by saying absolutely nothing, essentially by looping the same information that’s come prior.

Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez didn’t really help matters along when she asserted that it’s good to be specific when you ask for something.

“The more specific we can get about the areas, departments, and things that we would like to see disclosed, the easier it is to get that information.”

Calls for UFO disclosure have been going on for over 70 years in every which way. Perhaps Cortez means we have to get behind the movement specifically.

This got a mixed reaction on Reddit, with one remark stating, “She doesn’t know. She ain't in the loop but she’s just talking,” with another sporting,“she spoke for 82 seconds and literally said nothing.”
