Apple has no place for the iPhone 15 Pro.
Releasing an array of new devices wasn’t Apple’s only focus this week, with the main spotlight on its brand-new iPhone 16.
The company also discontinued three previous iPhone models: the iPhone 13, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. While suspending Pro models when a new device is released is a common practice, this year, it’s slightly more inconvenient.
When discussions about Apple Intelligence first started, it was established that the AI system wouldn’t be able to run on older iPhones. Therefore, the iPhone 16 models, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are the only devices capable of handling it.
However, the company will no longer manufacture iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphones, leaving potential customers with the option of getting the said models refurbished or from currently existing stock on the market.
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max now also hold the title of Apple’s fastest discontinued smartphone.
The situation proved difficult for those who planned to purchase the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max after the launch of the latest iPhone, as these models are no longer available on Apple’s official online store.
It soon became a hot topic online, with Redditors sharing ways and places that people can still get the discontinued models, with carrier stores coming to the rescue.
