Apple might give iPhone 17 a makeover with new camera placement

The rumored design isn't something we haven't seen already.

Over the years, many jokes have been made about the iPhone and its camera placement, with people pointing out how it has stayed the same with each new model.

Nevertheless, recent reports suggest that Apple's future phone could include changes to the camera.

It’s been reported that the iPhone 17 might come with a changed design that includes a horizontal three-camera layout.

The information was shared by a Chinese blogger who also noted that Android smartphone makers could also implement the new layout.

Apple's latest smartphone, the iPhone 16, has vertically stacked rear cameras. Unlike its predecessors, Apple's phone cameras haven't undergone drastic design changes in recent years.

If these speculations are true, the new iPhone will finally include a different camera placement after four years.

However, the expected placement isn't entirely new, since Google Pixel smartphones also have cameras that are set horizontally.

Other speculations about the iPhone 17 reveal that the future smartphone could include a Slim variant, which could replace the iPhone 17 Plus model.

It was later added that the iPhone 17 Slim, most likely made from a titanium-aluminum alloy metal frame, might have only one rear camera.
