The device doesn’t require an app, a WiFi connection, or a driver to connect. The ConnectAir comes with a USB-C transmitter that plugs into a smartphone, tablet, or computer, and an HDMI receiver that connects to a TV or monitor.

The ConnectAir is expected to be released in the first quarter of this year and will be sold for $150, notes The Verge.

When both devices are connected, the adapter enables wireless casting of content in 1080p resolution at 60Hz.

It has also been reported that the adapter provides a 5GHz wireless connection that can pass through walls. However, its quality depends on the thickness of the walls.

To avoid needing to switch between different devices, a user can connect up to eight transmitters to a single receiver.

The Belkin HDMI cable is among the numerous new devices announced during CES 2026, taking place in Las Vegas until January 9.
