Up for a moderate upgrade? That’s what Google is offering with its Pixel 10 Pro Fold

Google has announced the latest additions to its product line: the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a. In terms of hardware, they don’t seem to be groundbreaking upgrades from last year’s devices. However, maybe AI can make them worth the money?

The company was expected to release its latest hardware at the end of this summer, but the sale for these new devices started on October 8th. It’s been a year, so how does the Pixel 10 Pro Fold differ from last year’s model?

The new smartphone’s specifications are similar to those of the Google Pixel foldable released last year.

The latest smartphone includes a slightly bigger display and a Google AI equipped with additional features such as Live Translate, Circle to Search, and Call Assist.

The new Pixel smartphone also supports magnetic wireless charging through the Qi2 standard. The device can also be charged through Google’s charging stand, which allows users to use the phone while open.

Google’s latest foldable is now also dust and water-resistant, an upgrade from last year’s Pixel 9 Pro Fold, which is only protected against water.

The price of the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold starts from $1,799.

Pixel Watch 4 for a slimmer wrist

The company also released a new wearable, the Pixel Watch 4, which is available in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, and five colors.

Bloomberg notes that the device also comes with a novelty: a side-mounted charging dock that also functions as a stand, turning the watch into a desk display. This provides the device with about 25% longer battery life.

However, the dock can only work on the latest Google smartwatch.

In terms of specifications, the smartwatch also includes an upgraded screen, known as Actua 360 Display. This screen provides users with a slightly bigger screen area and thinner bezels than the Pixel Watch 3. It also has a 50% higher brightness, making it easier to look at the device in direct sunlight.

The watch is also powered by AI, allowing users to call the Gemini assistant and ask questions or use the device to help with task management.

The starting price of the Pixel Watch 4 is $350.

These budget earbuds, priced at $129, come in two colors: purple-looking “Iris” and black-ish “Hazel.”

Pixel Buds 2a features Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), sweat and water resistance, and the ability to call Gemini without taking your phone out.
