“Don’t put it in your back pocket:” iPhone 17 Air dummy model surprises YouTuber

Will the iPhone 17 Air be the next “it” smartphone?

Speculations about iPhone 17 have already revealed some of its details, including changes in model naming and different camera placements.

What makes these rumors even more believable are the leaked dummy models.

With the new Apple device's expected release date coming sometime in September, news about the features we can expect is slowly being leaked.

For example, the YouTube channel Unbox Therapy, with almost 25 million subscribers, showed what iPhone 17 variants might look like upon their release.

One of the main things that caught YouTuber Lewis Hilsenteger’s eye was the iPhone 17 Air, one of the four models he was sent from China.

In the video, Hilsenteger didn’t hide his surprise at seeing how thin the iPhone 17 Air dummy is, calling it “crazy thin,” especially in comparison with the iPhone 17 Pro Max model.

The thickness of the iPhone 17 Air is 5.65 mm, while the Pro Max is 8.75 mm.

The YouTuber hinted that the smartphone's thickness might be one of its main selling points once users get their hands on it.

“They’re going to sell a boatload of these. They’re not going to sell any of these other ones.”

He continued to say that people won’t even care about having a single camera or the “worst battery.”

Battery life and the device’s durability are among the concerns. Hilsenteger shared that even if the smartphone passes a durability test and won’t bend in half, it most likely has a “horrible battery life.”

Nevertheless, other speculations about the iPhone 17 and its battery life hint at the smartphone coming with an ultra-thin battery as well as a new camera placement.
