As usual, iPhone enthusiasts will have to wait until the beginning of autumn for Apple to release its new smartphone. But that doesn’t stop users from speculating about what the future device could look like, especially when there are leakers who fuel these discussions.
A leaker, under the name Digital Chat Station, which is followed by more than three million online followers, shared recent leaks related to Apple’s future iPhone 18. The user posted the speculations on the Chinese social media site Weibo.
According to the information shared in the post, samples of the iPhone 18 series are already in production.
The information also hints that the iPhone 18 series will include iPhone 18, its Pro and Pro Max variants, as well as iPhone Air 2, the future successor to the iPhone Air, released together with the iPhone 17 series.
It was previously reported that the company isn’t planning on releasing the new Air model due to weak sales.
When it comes to iPhone 18 specifications, both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may be released in the same sizes as the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro, which come with 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays.
Digital Chat Station notes that the iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 will both feature the Dynamic Island Display, while the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max may not include the Dynamic Island Display, but will have an under-screen Face ID.
This information supports previously shared speculations that the iPhone 18 top-tier models will include an under-screen Face ID, with the front camera placed at the top left corner of the smartphone, notes The Information (via MacRumors).
While new Apple smartphones are expected to be released every autumn, recent claims suggest that only the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models may be released in September, while the iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 may not be available until 2027.
