Sales of the new iPhone could start 10 days after the event, which has just been officially announced.
September is the most common month for big iPhone release events, and this year is no different. After some speculation on when Apple’s big day will take place, the company has now confirmed that it will be on September 9th, 2024, at 10 a.m. PT.
The event, during which Apple will introduce its latest devices, including iPhone, watches, and AirPods, will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater and will be streamed online.
The company’s latest iPhone model, the iPhone 16, should go on sale 10 days later, reports Bloomberg.
The iPhone 16 will be one of the two models capable of running Apple Intelligence, which has already gained a lot of attention, especially during its testing phase.
However, Apple’s latest feature won’t be included in the iPhone 16 right away due to the company needing more time to test the AI model and fix bugs.
For years, iPhones have been Apple’s most profitable device, and the company expects it to increase its sales this quarter, too.
While Apple’s latest smartphone is expected to be similar to its previous model, its other devices are expected to include more changes. For example, its Apple Watch Series 10 device design is expected to include a thinner but larger screen.
The company is also bringing some novelties to both of its AirPods versions. Its entry-level AirPods will finally get an update that many users have anticipated since 2019, while the company’s mid-tier earbuds will include a noise-cancellation feature.
Mac updates are expected to arrive a month after the launch of the iPhone.
