Windows PC to support Apple smartphone integration

iOS users can now check their smartphone notifications through a Windows PC.

The new feature rolled out with the Windows 11 2024 update and, at first, was only available for Android smartphone users. Now it’s also accessible to Apple iPhone users.

To use the latest features, users should open their start menu and on the right-side panel select the device they want to add (Android or iPhone) and follow further instructions that would allow them to access their phone from their PC.

iPhone users who connect their smartphone to Windows can use the same features as users of Android devices. These features include: seeing the phone’s battery life, connectivity, access to messages and calls, and tracking the latest activities.

Last month, Microsoft also released a file-sharing feature for iPhone users using Windows PCs.

The file-sharing feature is available for iPhone smartphone users with iOS16 or higher software updates and Windows 11 and Windows 10 computers.

However, to use Microsoft’s latest features users must be registered under the Windows Insider Program, which allows participants to preview new features, keep in contact with Microsoft engineers, and give feedback on these new features.
