Jira, Atlassian’s software for bug-tracking and project management, is down, affecting multiple products.
Reports of Jira going down flooded Twitter as workers couldn’t start or complete their tasks.
“JIRA is down this morning. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry,” a user lamented on X.
According to Jira Software’s services availability website, Atlassian is aware of the problem and is investigating an issue plaguing multiple platforms.
“We are investigating an issue with outage that is impacting Jira Work management, Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Jira Product Discovery,” reads the status message.
A later message, published around 10:00 AM UTC informed users that Atlassian has identified the root cause on the problem and is working to fix it.
According to Downdetector, an online platform providing information about the status of various websites and services, Jira is down globally, with complaints pouring in from Kazakhstan, Austria, the UK, France, Spain, and other countries.
Meanwhile, workers unable to access their management software flocked to social media, trying to outwit each other.
“Jira down today? Oh now we’re *really* not getting any work done,” a user on X wrote.
An hour later, nearly at 11:00 AM UTC, the company issued an update saying that its “engineering team has implemented fixes for Jira and should be recovered again.”
