ChatGPT is now available even via a rotary phone.
OpenAI has presented a new way for users to reach ChatGPT. The company recently announced that its AI feature can now be used via a call or WhatsApp message.
Users in the US can call 1-800-ChatGPT by dialing 1-800-242-8478 or sending a WhatsApp message to the same phone number. This feature is available anywhere where ChatGPT is available.
The company also shared that users in the US will receive 15 minutes per month of voice calling, noting that the feature is “experimental,” so its “availability and limits may change.”
For a more tailored experience, users are encouraged to use ChatGPT via their accounts.
The company also shared a video testing the new ChatGPT feature. The video reveals how a user can reach AI through a smartphone, a “state-of-the-art” flip phone, and a rotary phone.

The announcement of the new feature is a part of OpenAI’s 12 days of shipmas during which the company releases new products or services every day.
One of OpenAI’s most popular initiatives so far has been the introduction of ChatGPT’s search engine globally to users without a subscription. It’s been reported that ChatGPT’s search has rapidly gained popularity and is now used more than Google.
However, a recent study suggested that the answers given by the ChatGPT search should taken with a grain of salt since the search engine uses questionable tactics when providing sources.
