I monitored Hostinger’s uptime and response time for two weeks using the Grafana Labs platform. Hostinger kept 100% uptime during this period, which is really impressive. The average server response time was only 246.19ms – that’s pretty fast and stable.
Next, I checked website speed with a Virginia, US, server. The speed index was 3.561 seconds – that means pages loaded relatively quickly in all my tests, but could’ve been a little faster still.

During the purchase process, I did notice that IONOS pushes several upsells, such as SiteLock, its security suite, and an extended mail option. Personally, I didn’t find these additional offers particularly useful in my case, and you can skip them if you just want basic hosting. Overall, I didn’t see any hidden costs after purchasing an IONOS plan.
📊 IONOS performance testing
I used several tools for performance testing, including k6 for stress tests and webpagetest.org for speed checks. For a month, I monitored uptime, server response time, speed, and how IONOS handled traffic spikes.
IONOS maintained a 100% uptime, higher than the promised 99.99%, but the response time averaged 853.40ms, which is slower than the market average.
When running a speed test on a WordPress site, the speed index was 2.38s – within the 0–3.4s range for good speed, meaning IONOS is still a fast host.
