Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold in the US: launch date, price, and specs


Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold is finally entering the American market, becoming one of its priciest smartphones.

The company’s latest smartphone will be available for purchase on January 30th, 2026.

Many are interested in the price of the trifold, which is set to be a hefty $2900.

One of the main aspects of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is its size, which changes with every fold. When closed, the smartphone measures 75.0 x 159.2 x 12.9mm, which is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which measures 72.8 x 158.4 x 8.9mm.

When unfolded, the smartphone is 214.1 x 159.2 x 3.9mm. The smartphone measures 3.9 mm in thickness when unfolded and 12.9 mm when folded.

When opened, the smartphone reveals a 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The smartphone, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, also comes with 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM.

The US variant of Galaxy Z TriFold comes in Crafted Black color with a matte finish.

According to the company, the large smartphone screen allows users to “maximize their productivity” by enabling them to use multiple apps at once and employ Galaxy AI for tasks such as writing, transcribing, and planning.

Samsung is already letting users sign up to receive news about the new smartphone's release and try it out at Samsung Experience Stores.

The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold was first showcased in the US at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas at the beginning of January.

The smartphone has already available for purchase in Korea since December 2025.
