Anthropic's Claude is experiencing an outage that is prohibiting users from accessing the chatbot.
Users have reported experiencing issues with the popular AI chatbot, Claude.
Downdetector, the site where users can report issues with popular apps and websites, shows that thousands of users in the US and UK are having problems with Claude chat, the app, and the website.
Claude has said that it has “identified that the Claude API is working as intended.”
However, the tech company is seeing issues related to Claude.ai and with login and logout paths.
In an update, Claude has identified issues with some API methods and this is being investigated.
While users complain about the outage, Claude said via its status page that the issue has been identified and a fix is being implemented.
Claude users took to Reddit to complain about the outage, with many saying the chatbot, app, and website are completely unusable for almost everyone.
“Yes, it’s down for almost everyone,” said one Redditor via the r/Claude subreddit.
