X users stand with Rihanna following LA home shooting
Rihanna is trending on social media, not for the long-awaited release of a new album, but for surviving an incident that could’ve proved deadly.
Pop star Rihanna was involved in an incident that is likely a celebrity’s worst nightmare.
A 30-year-old unidentified woman found the singer's Beverly Hills address and shot multiple rounds into Rihanna’s home from her Tesla, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The suspect reportedly shot at least 10 rounds into the residence from across the street with an assault rifle.
The shooting occurred on Sunday in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood, and the suspect was taken into custody shortly after, a law enforcement spokesperson told The Times.
The source said that Rihanna was at home at the time of the shooting.
While there were no injuries, the Los Angeles Police Department said that four rounds or bullet fragments collided with parts of Rihanna’s home.
It’s unclear whether Rihanna’s three young children were at home while shots were being fired.
However, social media users have come to this speculative conclusion themselves and have sent well wishes to the family.
“Thinking about them, oh my heart, I hope they’re ok and not traumatized,” said one Rihanna fan page on X.
“Shooting into a house with kids in…wtf…some people are sick. Hope Rihanna and her family and friends are ok.”
Other Rihanna stans came to the rescue, showing their solidarity with the Fenty Beauty CEO.
“Who’s trying to kill Rihanna? Does she know I don’t play rubbish? Foolish woman,” said one X user.
“They want to kill my wife Rihanna.”
“Rihanna’s house was just shot at, and her children were most likely there. Which is why I’m confused why y’all are using this situation to make album jokes. Some of y’all are so odd.”
“How deranged, disgusting, sick psychopath you have to be to do that to a mother of 3 children at her home on International Women's Day. That creature deserves her entire life in PRISON,” said another enraged Rihanna fan.
“Someone tried to kill Rihanna. Now we gotta kill them.”
Social media users questioned what information Rihanna must know for someone to wish her harm.
